The D25MA servo from FrSKY is a thin-profile, all metal, dual-bearing, digital servo. The thin profile makes it ideal for wing mounting particularly in gliders that have a thin wing rib profile.

It is designed to work on both normal pulse width modulation (PWM) signals and also SBUS/SBUS II and CPPM signals.

Both CPPM and SBUS are special receiver outputs that carry all 8 (or more) channels on a single servo connector. You can output 16 channels on a single connection using SBUS, and 8 channels using CPPM.

Many modern receivers now feature SBUS and/or CPPM ports. These ports enable you to plug compatible servos such as the D25MA into that port and individually assign each servo to its own channel. Once set, the servo will respond to whatever channel you tell it to respond to. Need to add another servo to your plane? Just use a Y-lead and add another. No expensive hubs are needed. You will need a channel changer to set the servo to the desired channel but once set that servo will respond only to that channel.

While the D25MA will work efficiently with standard PWM receivers, it is especially useful in multi-rotor applications that feature a flight controller which uses SBUS to reduce the clutter of multiple leads and cables.

Note that while the D25MA has the ability to use a CPPM feed, this particular feature will not become available to users until a proposed new channel changer is released by FrSKY.
