This is one of a range of sensors designed and developed by FrSKY to collect important flight information and performance data which can then be transmitted via a telemetry-enabled receiver to a telemetry-compatible transmitter module where it can be displayed on an LCD screen.
Ever used a watt meter to bench test your motor/ESC/prop combination to make sure you've got the right setup for your model plane? Now you can perform the same test whether the model is on the ground or in the air!
Simply install the FAS-40 ampere sensor between your flight battery and your ESC to measure and report in real time: electrical current in amps and power consumption in mAh.
When connected to the FrSKY telemetry sensor hub (FSH01 version 2), the data can be sent via a telemetry-enabled receiver to a compatible transmitter module such as the all-in-one FrSKY ACCST 2.4GHz DHT-U module with integrated telemetry and in-built display with audio alarms. The FAS-40 may also be connected directly to a telemetry enabled FrSKY receiver via Digital Data-stream port (Rx).
The FAS-40 reports power and power consumption without an external voltage sensor and, in addition can be chained together to report individual cell voltages by using the FLVS-01 LiPo voltage sensor.
Note that the FrSKY LCD screen (FLD-02) is able to display the current (A) and power (W). The FrSKY All-In-One Telemetry Module with LCD Display (DHT-U) is able to display current (A) and power consumption (mAH).
