The DX12 brings Spektrum™ AirWare™ software and DSMX® technology together with smart features like an Android-powered touchscreen, WiFi connectivity and more. The result is a remarkable transmitter that is easy enough for sport pilots to use yet capable enough for expert RC competitors.
ANDROID-POWERED TOUCHSCREEN INTERFACE
You literally "tap" into the DX12's programming using its big, easy-to-read touchscreen interface. Everything is presented in crisp, clear detail so you can quickly and accurately make the changes you need. And, because this is a fully functional Android-powered interface, it will work with third-party apps from the Google Play store, too.
WIFI CONNECTION FOR UPDATES AND APPS
When connected to WiFi, the DX12 gets even smarter. You can instantly make Spektrum AirWare updates, download model setups from other users and add third-party apps. The DX12 will even alert you when new updates are available.
The DX12 will connect with just about any Bluetooth device. This means you can use wireless earbuds for voice alerts or even your phone's ear piece. You can also use Bluetooth connectivity to transfer models from one DX12 to another.
The enormous capacity of the DX12's on-board memory means you will rarely, if ever, need to juggle models between transmitter memory and your SD card.
Keep tabs on important information without ever taking your eyes off what you are flying. The DX12's programmable voice alert system can call out what flight mode you have chosen or report telemetry info on demand. If an alarm goes off, you won't have to look at the display to see what's happening. The DX12 can tell you.
In addition to a built-in speaker, the DX12 has a headphone jack that allows you to monitor voice alerts using earbuds so you don't bother other pilots. You can also use Bluetooth to connect with wireless earbuds or your phone's ear piece.
The weight distribution and ergonomics of the DX12 have been optimized to fit the way you fly. The result is a sense of balance and comfort that perfectly complement the speed and precision of DSMX technology.

INTUITIVE PROGRAMMING APP
Long-time Spektrum users will feel right at home the first time they pick up the DX12. That's because its programming app is built on the same G2 AirWare software used today. The big, color touchscreen interface simply makes menu navigation and setting changes even easier than it was before.
NOTE: The programming app that is included with initial shipments of the DX12 will have Airplane programming only. Heli, Sailplane and Multirotor programming and other features will be added in future app updates. Watch this page for new information as it becomes available.
The built-in telemetry feature can give you real-time information on things like your model's battery voltage, signal quality, motor temperature and more.* Using the voice alert system, you can program the DX12 to tell you when specific telemetry values reach or exceed limits you define. You can also have it call out a sequence of telemetry values on demand with the flip of a switch.
Model must be equipped with a telemetry-enabled receiver and any required sensors.
