The Kraton 1/5 8S EXB is the largest ready-to-run monster truck Arrma builds. It combines an 8S LiPo-capable Spektrum brushless system with EXtreme Bash (EXB) hardware fitted throughout, giving it 60+ mph capability and the structural strength to survive landing from it.
Product Description
This is the Kraton 8S rebuilt around durability. The 8S-capable Spektrum power system is headed by a 5687 Firma 1100Kv brushless motor measuring a full 56mm across, producing around 10% more torque than the previous Kraton 8S RTR motor, and paired with an updated Firma 160A V2 Smart ESC for cleaner throttle response. Steering comes from a Spektrum S6510 steel-gear servo delivering 820 oz-in at 8.4V, close to 50% more than the servo it replaces, backed by Spektrum AVC stability control in the SR6200A receiver. Underneath sits a 5mm 7075-T6 laser-etched EXB aluminium chassis plate, an EXB red-anodised aluminium front brace mount and an impact-absorbing EXB front bumper, with all-metal differential outdrives, gearbox internals and steel driveshafts carrying the power to beefy dBoots Copperhead 2 big block tyres.
ATModels Bench & Track Notes
- This is a genuinely large model. At 771mm long, 602mm wide and 11.2kg before batteries, it needs a decent-sized boot and somewhere open to run. Check your space before ordering.
- Budget for the batteries. Two 4S packs and a charger capable of handling them is a meaningful additional cost, and running it on anything less than the recommended spec will leave performance well short.
- EXB parts are fitted from the factory. On the standard Kraton 8S these are upgrades bought separately, so the EXB version starts where a heavily modified truck would finish.
