Description

A true rock crawler, not built for overlanding or easy Sunday drives — the AXP8 Gilamon 2.2 pushes RC rock crawling capability to new heights, combining a new AXP8 platform with the Axial Selectable Drive (ASD) system for genuinely unmatched control on the most challenging trails and obstacles.

With its 2.2in wheel setup and the new AXP8 platform underneath, the Gilamon has no real match on the most challenging trails and obstacles. Because it's ready-to-run, no prior experience is needed to succeed with it — but drivers who've spent plenty of time on the trails will be genuinely surprised by what's now possible that wasn't before.

ASD is a more advanced, far more capable version of traditional cutting brakes: rather than merely slowing a wheel, it physically and completely locks it. As set up out of the box, either rear wheel can be locked independently for a genuinely tighter turning radius, and the front axle and transmission also accept optional ASD setups for drivers who want to push further. Combined with high-clearance IS10 internal spring shocks and smooth, high-flex 4-link suspension geometry — which reduces torque twist and the bump-steer found in some 3-link designs — the Gilamon is a genuinely serious tool for technical terrain.
