Boasting a large fuselage and cabin – brought about by a necessity to accommodate the sizable Jacobs R-755 radial engine – the Cessna 195 could carry a pilot and 4 passengers in great comfort. Cessnas first aeroplane to be constructed entirely of aluminium, the 195 featured a strut-free cantilever wing and, accordingly, wasnt a cheap option for private operators. As a result it was marketed as a Businessliner and operated in both this and the military sectors with the US Army, USAF and National Guard.

Seagulls beautifully-realised 1/5-scale version combines all the classic post-war style and detail of the type in a truly practical airframe thats as easy to own and operate as any Sunday sportster. A practical and sturdy fixed undercarriage, strut-free cantilever wing and large top hatch all add to the user-friendly appeal of a model that will hold its own in any scale competition. Its a real eye-catcher and an awful lot of design, construction, moulding, workmanship, detail, finishing and painting for the money.
