About the Losi Mini JRX2
The Mini JRX2 is Losi's smallest ready-to-run buggy, scaled down to 1/16 so it can be driven indoors, in a garden, or anywhere space is tight. It's aimed squarely at newcomers to RC and younger drivers who want a proper off-road buggy without the size, cost, or complexity of a full-scale model.
Underneath the painted polycarbonate shell sits a 2mm fibreglass chassis plate, independent five-link suspension at each corner, and oil-filled aluminium shocks with a 7mm bore. Power reaches the rear wheels only through a 2WD layout, while full ball bearings throughout keep the drivetrain running smoothly with minimal maintenance.
Drive comes from Losi's Jr's Choice 42-turn brushed motor, controlled by a 25A 2-in-1 ESC with a built-in receiver, with power for both supplied by the included 650mAh LiPo battery and its 0.5A USB charger. It's a gentle, forgiving power system rather than an outright fast one, which makes the Mini JRX2 better suited to learning throttle control on a driveway or in a garden than to serious off-road bashing.
