6S 22.2V LiPo batteries for large cars, big helis and fast boats.
A 6S pack is six LiPo cells in series - 22.2V nominal, 25.2V fully charged. This is the serious end of electric RC: 6S is what runs Arrma Kraton and Talion 6S machines, large 1/8 buggies and truggies, 600 to 700 class helicopters, big aerobatic planes and fast boats. Real power, and packs that need respect.
What we stock
Gens Ace - the main range, hard case packs with XT90, XT60 and EC5 connectors. Radient - including 5000mAh 50C XT90 packs. Maniax - higher discharge options for demanding setups. We also stock Spektrum Smart G2 and Pro Basher packs from 1800mAh to 7200mAh at up to 120C.
Two 3S packs or one 6S?
Plenty of 6S models are run on a pair of 3S packs wired in series, which is often cheaper and easier to charge on a smaller charger. A single 6S pack saves weight and wiring but needs a charger capable of balancing six cells. Check what your model's battery trays are set up for.
Capacity, C rating and charger
At 6S the charger matters as much as the battery. A 5000mAh 6S pack at 1C needs a charger that can deliver around 110W, and most people charge faster than that. Check your charger's wattage and cell count before buying, or you will be waiting a very long time between runs. See balance chargers.
Safety
6S packs store a lot of energy and deserve care. Charge on a LiPo-capable balance charger, never unattended, store at around 3.8V per cell, and retire any pack that swells or is punctured. See LiPo safety bags.
