Description
The Airbus AS350 Squirrel, also known as the Ecureuil or AStar, is a single-engined light helicopter prized for its performance at altitude, which is why it has become a mainstay of mountain rescue and alpine flying. This Flywing model is finished in a Swiss alpine rescue style livery to capture that role.
It is a ready-to-fly GPS scale helicopter built around the ACE flight controller, which uses its integrated GPS and barometer to hold a steady hover when the sticks are released and to return home at the flick of a switch. A 3-blade metal quick-release head and navigation lights give it a convincing look in the air, and a full charge lasts about 23 minutes.
