Which T-Rex?

Align name their helicopters by class, which roughly tracks main blade length. Bigger machines are more stable in wind and easier to see in the air, but need more space, larger batteries and cost more to run.

• T-Rex 150 - the smallest. Flies indoors or in a garden, and the cheapest way into collective pitch.
• T-Rex 300X and T15 - small park machines with real 3D capability.
• T-Rex 470 - the modern replacement for the classic 450 size, and a sensible first outdoor machine.
• T-Rex 500 - the all-rounder. Big enough for wind, small enough to transport easily.
• T-Rex 600 - more presence in the air without full 700 running costs.
• T-Rex 700 - the competition standard, and what most serious 3D pilots fly.
• T-Rex 800 - the flagship. Open-field flying only.

Which build level?

RTF comes complete and ready to fly. BNF binds to a transmitter you already own. Kits are supplied unassembled - you fit your own electronics, which costs more overall but teaches you the machine properly. Combo kits sit in between, with the main electronics included.

Why Align

Align have been making RC helicopters in Taiwan since the 1990s and the T-Rex line is the most widely flown in the world.
