An RC car is a working machine, not a toy. Independent suspension, a real gearbox, oil-filled shocks and a motor or engine you can tune. We have been selling them since 2009, and we stock everything from a first ready-to-run basher to a petrol-powered 1/5 scale monster - along with the spares to keep any of it running.
Petrol, nitro or electric?
Electric is the easiest way in - charge the pack and drive. Modern brushless systems are genuinely fast, there is no engine to tune, and you can run one in a car park without annoying anybody. See electric RC cars.
Nitro runs on methanol-based fuel and gives you a real engine to set up, with the noise and the smell that goes with it. More maintenance, more reward. See nitro RC cars.
Petrol means a two-stroke engine running on ordinary pump fuel, usually in the larger scales. Long run times, cheap to fuel over a season, and a lot of torque. If you want the biggest cars we sell, this is where to look. See petrol RC cars.
Ready to run, or build it yourself?
A ready-to-run car arrives assembled and driving within the hour. A kit arrives as a box of parts and takes an evening or three - but you learn where every screw is, which makes fixing it later far easier. Kit builders also tend to end up with a better car, because you choose the motor, servo and radio rather than accepting whatever was cheapest to include. See RC car kits.
Scale and size
Scale describes how big the model is relative to the real thing. 1/24 and 1/18 are indoor and garden sized, 1/10 is the mainstream club size with the widest parts support, and 1/8, 1/7 and 1/5 are large machines that need open space and carry a price and a running cost to match. See RC car scales.
The brands we stock
Our range includes Traxxas, Arrma, FTX, Tamiya, Axial, HoBao, Team Associated and Losi - covering first cars, competition chassis and everything between. See all RC car brands.
Spares matter more than the car
Everybody breaks something eventually, usually a driveshaft or an A-arm. What decides whether a car is still running in three years is whether parts are still available for it. We hold spares for every brand we sell - see RC car spares - and we will tell you honestly if a model is poorly supported before you buy it.
