Standard Servos

Standard Servos

Standard (full-size) servos use the common 40 x 20mm case and usually weigh around 40–80g. They are the most widely used servo size: steering servos for 1/10 and 1/8 scale RC cars and trucks, cyclic and tail servos for 600–700 size helicopters, and control surface servos for sport and scale planes.

Choosing a standard servo

• Torque: from around 3kg for light planes to 30kg+ for crawlers and big trucks – filter by Torque kg.
• HV and 12V: HV servos run on 2S LiPo (7.4–8.4V) and some run at up to 12V for maximum power.
• Brushless and coreless: faster, more efficient and more precise – ideal for racing and helicopters.
• Waterproof: choose a waterproof servo for bashing, crawling or boats.
• Low-profile: slimmer standard-width servos suit on-road cars and tight installations.
