The FTX Zorro is a 1/10 scale 4WD nitro trophy truck, ready to run and finished in Blue with a semi-scale bodyshell and internal roll cage. It's better suited to someone with a bit of nitro experience, or the patience to learn fuel mixing, starting and basic tuning, than to a complete beginner wanting an instant switch-on-and-go truck. In exchange for the extra upkeep, it offers long run times and the feel of a real engine rather than an electric motor.

About the FTX Zorro Nitro Trophy Truck

Power comes from a FORCE .18 pull-start nitro engine rather than a brushed or brushless motor, driving all four wheels through a shaft-driven 4WD system with front and rear geared differentials, a 3-shoe clutch and a composite 2-piece tuned pipe. It's supplied fully built and ready to run.

A blue anodised aluminium chassis carries big-bore, oil-filled, fully adjustable shocks, with front and rear tubular bumpers and skid plates to take the knocks during bashing. Steering and throttle are handled by waterproof 3kg servos, controlled through an Etronix 2.4GHz 3-channel radio.

Running a nitro truck like this means learning to mix fuel, start the engine with a glow starter and carry out routine maintenance, which is more involved than charging a battery. What you get back is longer sessions between refuelling and the sound and smell of a genuine nitro engine, wrapped in a semi-scale Trophy Truck bodyshell with an internal roll cage and driver interior.
