For the unfamiliar, drifting is the practice of intentionally oversteering - causing the rear wheels to lose traction - while keeping good control of the vehicle's direction. The idea is that the car ‘drifts’ sideways around the turn until recorrecting the angle of the car at the end of the turn and continuing to the next.

Hailing from the streets of Japan before eventually becoming a recognised international motorsport, drifting is the art of controlling an over-exaggerated and completely unnecessary skid while negotiating corners. It is incredibly exhilarating stuff for both drivers and spectators.
