The Blade Nano QX Quadcopter is the first Blade Helicopter to feature the new, revolutionary SAFE (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) software technology from Horizon Hobby. In addition to the multi-axis stabilization AS3X software that’s built into the Nano QX’s 4-in-1 DSMX Rx / ESCs / mixer / SAFE sensor Unit, SAFE adds further automated reassurance to the novice pilot as its electronic wizardry helps limit extreme flight orientation that would otherwise result in loss of control in other, non SAFE-equipped models.

With SAFE technology, the novice pilot can learn and grow accustomed to the flight control responses as the technology limits the bank angle or the climb or descend rate within preset limits regardless of the transmitter control inputs. SAFE can be programmed for to either enhance stability or agility and in both modes, the pilot has the added reassurance of the 6-axis stabilization software being also ever present thus making short work of changeable flight characteristics due to wind or turbulence and enabling a flying experience akin to a much larger model.

Though diminutive in size, the Nano QX packs a mighty punch, delivering a hobby-grade, premium flight experience thanks to its Blade tuned flight characteristics and the reassurance of it’s 2.4GHz DSM link between transmitter and model. It’s size and ultra lightweight means that it’s easy to fly indoors whilst the multi-axis stabilization software will also cope with gentle breezes if you choose to fly outdoors. It’s four plastic main rotor blades are protected from collision damage thanks to the ingenious chassis design that wraps a protective perimeter bumper around the outside extremity of the blades. Flight times of up to 8 minutes are made possible thanks to the inclusion of a 150mAh 1-cell 3.7V LiPo battery but the fun needn’t stop there. Courtesy of the included USB 1-cell LiPo charger, you can be up and running soon again once you’ve grabbed a charge from any handy nearby USB port.
