RC Car Wheel, Tyre Combo's
The correct radio controlled car tyre and wheel combo are dependant on the car and terrain you will be travelling on, here are some combos:
- Smooth tyres and dish wheels: This combo works well for road cars that will be primarily driven on tarmac or other smooth indoor surfaces. Slick tyres are great on smooth surfaces, while dish wheels provide great support.
- Large tyres and spoke wheels: This combo works well for RC cars that will be driven on rough ground like dirt or in long grass. Large tyres provide great traction on rough ground, while spoke wheels will lightweight and help to reduce the overall weight of the car.
- Rally tyres and beadlock wheels: This set works great for RC cars that will be driven on a combination of smooth and rough surfaces, like rally cars. Rally tyres come in a combination of treads that cater for both smooth and rough surfaces, while beadlock wheels keep the tyre locked in place inside the wheel.
- Foam tyres and dish wheels: This set works really good when racing, carpet racers on indoor or carpeted tracks. Foam tires provide excellent grip and hold on smooth surfaces, while dish wheels provide strength and support.
