How Do Electric RC Cars Work?

These motors consist of a set of magnets, a stator, and a rotor. Applying electric current to the rotor, it creates a magnetic field by flowing through the copper coils of the stator. The magnetic fields of the rotor and stator interact with each other, causing rotation in the rotor, allowing electric RC cars to move.

The main difference between electric RC cars and other types of radio-controlled vehicles is, of course, the engine and how it’s powered up. As we already mentioned, electric current sourced from a battery powers up electric vehicles. Petrol andnitro cars, on the other hand, need liquid fuel to operate correctly. To refuel a traditional RC car, you will need to fill it up with gasoline or nitro, whereas electric RC vehicles simply need to be charged at a power socket.
