Manufactured under the license of Daimler-Benz AG, the FMS Unimog is meticulously designed to replicate the intricate details of its full-size counterpart. Notable features include a detailed grille, widened rear-view mirrors, snorkel, and two orange warning lights on the roof. The windows offer a glimpse of the well-crafted dashboard and cabin interior.

The engine hood is functional, providing a convenient battery location and serving as a storage space for electronics. Additionally, the rear cargo compartment and three-side wall boast intricately carved patterns that mimic the texture of real wood.

The Unimog is built on the FCX24 crawler chassis, featuring a mid-mounted power assembly with a low center of gravity.

This assembly integrates a 2-speed transmission, transfer case, and 130 motor. Power is transmitted to the front and rear axles through universal joint drive shafts, and portal axles enhance ground clearance for the center axle.

By default, the FCX24 is equipped with a straight axle, but an alternative planetary gear differential option is available. This option, used with high-viscosity silicone oil, simulates the effect of a limited-slip differential (LSD). While the LSD option reduces ultimate climbing ability, it provides a smaller turning radius and more stable high-speed driving quality.

The choice between the straight axle and the differential depends on the intended use—straight axles are suitable for extreme climbing, while differentials are preferable for high-speed off-road driving.

The two-speed mechanical transmission is operated by a 9g steering gear, switchable through the third channel on the remote control.

The low gear has a substantial reduction ratio of 99, offering strong torque for extreme climbing. On the other hand, the high gear features a reduction ratio of 24.75, providing higher speed compared to similar products on the market. The two-speed transmission not only adds a mechanical shifting experience but also offers various ways to enhance the overall driving enjoyment.
