RC Car Wheel and Tyre Care

Regular wheel and tyre checks are essential to prevent failure which could potentially damage your expensive RC Truck or car and put an end to your fun. It is good practice to inspect your wheels and tyres before and after every run if your tyres are starting to come away from the rims then they will need to be re-glued to prevent the tyre completely coming away from the wheel. Your tyres sidewalls should also be checked for signs of damage. If you find you are regularly blowing out tyres then it could be time to change to belted tyres for the extra strength these provide.

You should also balance your wheels when all areas of the wheel and tyre assembly are as equal in weight as possible, the tyre will roll smoothly. This helps improve tread wear. Balancing also prevents uneven wearand prevents bad vibration which can cause damage to other components Imbalanced tyres can wobble or hop up and down, causing vibration.

RC Car wheels also need to be checked for damage as they can also fail any cracks or big chunks out of the wheels is a sign its time to change.
